Branding
Chinatown Ambassadors was an Oakland Chinatown-based program that provided community building services like street cleaning, public art, escorting people home, and more. They were a partnership among Oakland Chinatown Coalition, Asian Pacific Environmental Network, and Family Bridges that was active in 2020–2021 during an uptick of hate crimes against the Asian American community. I volunteered my services to create a cohesive identity that would make them instantly recognizable, familiar, and a safe resource for residents.

BRAND IDENTITY
The Chinatown Ambassadors team wanted a brand identity that would communicate intergenerational relationships, approachability, and a sense of place. To accomplish this, I created a logo with characters wearing flowers inspired by the Oakland Chinatown roads. I incorporated the colors from the road design and the bright green from the logos of the organizations that put this team together.
